On 29 September 2026, NYNY RYKE presented Fil Rouge, the next chapter of its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, in Paris’s 15th arrondissement in collaboration with Fashion Week Studio Paris Edition.
Inside a historic Parisian venue, the runway became a meeting point for handwoven textiles, warm colour, intricate embellishment and a distinctly modern sense of femininity.
Threads of heritage
Fil Rouge means ‘red thread’ in French. The name speaks to the connections that run through the collection: between memory and possibility, heritage and contemporary dress, the hands that make a garment and the person who wears it.
Founded by Togolese-born, Italy-raised designer Nyny Ryke Goungou, the London-based label has built its identity around Ethical Luxury craftsmanship and cultural exchange. Working with artisans in Togo, the brand brings handwoven and hand-dyed textiles into modern wardrobes while creating opportunities for local makers.
A conversation in texture
Texture tells much of the story. Warm hues provide the foundation, while crystal beading brings a shifting play of light to garments and accessories. Bags, earrings and a statement beaded poncho extend the collection’s attention to the smallest details.
Rather than separating traditional techniques from contemporary design, Fil Rouge allows them to inform one another. Fluid shapes and considered embellishment give the collection its own rhythm: expressive, tactile and unmistakably forward-looking.
Made with memory. Worn with a view to the future.
An identity in motion
The Paris presentation also marked the first appearance of the NYNY RYKE monogram. Introduced on a midi dress and a maxi kaftan with a raffia collar, it adds a new signature to a collection already rich in texture, identity and movement.
Fil Rouge is a story of continuity, not nostalgia. With one eye on heritage and the other on what comes next, NYNY RYKE brings the past and future into the same frame.
