FUTURE-PUNK
Futur- comes from the Italian movement Futurism, while the second half draws from the London based Punk movement. Futurism embodied a “desire to progress”, a forward-looking vision expressed through every linguistic and artistic code, a true sense of avant-garde.
Punk, by contrast, embraced the motto “No Future”, reflecting the disillusionment of a generation. Yet, despite its nihilism, it never accepted its own death “Punk’s not dead” became its defiant anthem.
Both movements share a radical rejection of the past and tradition. The aim now is to fuse them into a new, original language, something wearable and readable. A hybrid of fashion and narrative. A living newspaper called Futur-Punk.
Futurism + Punk = Rebellion, revolution, and a raw, anarchic aesthetic stripped of excess.
